hi, you've seen it already in my last video. this sweet girland behind me. and i'll show you in this video how to make something like that! let's start! i'm so excited! firstly what do you need? tissue paper in various colors, glue, scissors, needle and thread, a compass and some kind of ribbon to hang on your pompoms! first of all i'll cut me 16 pieces of tissue paper roughly in the same size. the paper cuts a approximately a little bit smaller than din a5 (5,8 x 8,3 inches) but you can cut it as big or small as you like now i'll show you how to create this honey comb pattern you glue different layers together. on the first layer you'll put glue in the middle and on the left and right side. than you stick on the next layer and put glue in the middle of the previous drawn glue lines than you repeat that hole process till you're done.
when you sticked everything together you can already see the honeycomb pattern emerge. we will continue cutting out the lampion shape. you need to draw in your size of your shape on the tissue paper. than draw a half-circle with your disired size, but mind that we will fold up the hole shape to create the pompom. after you cut everything out and it already looks close to the finised pompom. but you can't glue it together yet! the back of the shape is still open, so you can't fold it in a circle. you've guessed it: we need to stitch the tissue paper layers together. just join the sides together, there is not really a technique. also create a loop on one side, so we can attach the pompom! if you like, you can join two of these pieces together, to create a sphere. but i wanted them to rest needly on the wall so i glued them on white paper cicles. therefore you need to cut papercicles in the size of your pompom and glue on one side of your tissue paper cutout.
than carefully open the lampion and glue on the other side! continue repeating all these steps to make more of these pompoms. i made 10, but you can make as many as you like! be creative, you diffrent sizes and shapes and colors to create what ever you want! after you finished we only need to fix our pompoms an a ribbon. you can make knots to secure your lampion. i didn't make any, so i could later arrange the lampions the way i wanted them to hang on the wall! now you can see the final honey comb girland! i wish you so much fun making this diy and if you want you can send me pictures of your garland on twitter or instagram! my social media sides are linked down below! so thank you for watching and till the next video! bye! ♥
