welcome to a new noch video workshop. in this video i would like to show you some novelties from the year 2017. on the one hand the self-supporting landscaping modelling foil, the rock molds, the specially created rock casting compound and the well-known noch modelling compound. let me show you, how can create rocks with this materials. here you can see the new noch rock former for an individual andmultiple production of rock pieces. they are equipped with a non-stick coating. especially innovative is thecasting frame made of the backboard cardboard.
the packaging can be assembled. i cut the cardboard at themarked line with a pair of scissors apart and slightly scratch the creases. subsequently, the two halves are to be folded and glued together. on the resulting cast frame, the shape can be inserted. the casting compound is prepared with 3 parts of water and one part compound. first, give the water into a mixing cup and then fill inthe measured casting compound. now, everything has to be mixed well untilthe powder with the water
has mixed to a pourable porridge. before pouring i spray a release agent onto the mold. this consists of water and a drop of detergent. therefore, use the landscaping spray bottle. subsequently, fill the poured mass into the mold. do not fill outover the form edge. with a modeling spatula the mass can be distributed by plugging and air bubbles can be removed.for the landscape i use the landscaping modelling foil. with this foil, the landscape can be created without substructure. this aluminum foil is stable, self-supporting and out of coated special paper from one side.
after the casting compound has hardened, the pieces of rock can be carefully removed from the mold. the resulting rock pieces shoulddry out until further processing. the dried rocks can nowfitted into the landscape shape and can be attached with hot melt adhesive. now i mix the noch modelling compound with water to a modelable mass. i only lay the fillereasy on, so the rocks can become one with thelandscape. with a bristle brush, which is submerged again and again in water, i model
the putty off. finally, dab out everything with a larger brush. with this particularly simple techniqueyou can get a natural-looking rock surface. please watch the painting in an other video.
