i use concrete, where you only have to add water. the mixing ratio is written on the packaging. next, iâ´m going to take a balloon and put it into a little bowl, in order to hold it. then iâ´m going to put the concrete onto the balloon. the opening looks like this. you can make it bigger, if you want to. now, iâ´m going to let it dry. i let it dry overnight. unfortunatly the concrete has broken a little bit. now, iâ´m going to cut the ballon open. now, it looks like this and iâ´m going to remove the brittle parts.
i made two other ones, which i layed the other way around. again, iâ´m going to remove the brittle parts and file it off a little bit. after removing the dust, i take gold colour and paint it on the inside. when the first layer is dry, i paint a second layer. make sure the layer of concrete isnâ´t too thin - so it wonâ´t break. you can leave it like this. or you can go ahead and paint the outside of it. now, the paint is dry and next iâ´m going to spray a matt lacquer onto it. then i place my tea lights into the candle holders.
