substrate 1: plasterboard + tierrafino base reinforce joints between boards. fill joints and screw holes with a suitable joint filler. let each 1 mm of applied gypsum dry 1 day. tierrafino contact primer for tierrafino base onto smooth substrates. mix tierrafino contact well. dilute with max. 5% water when applied onto very absorbing substrates.
apply contact with a brush or a roller. distribute sand in the primer equally over the surface. under normal circumstances (+20âºc en 60% relative air humidity), contact is dry between 4 - 12 hours. contact is hardened out after 2 days. mixing tierrafino base add 3,5 - 4 kg base each 1 liter of water. mix to a homogenous plaster.

substrate 2:gypsum plaster + tierrafino contact fine apply a good quality masking tape onto adjacent walls and ceiling. contact fine is a primer for clay paints and -stuccos onto smooth and/or very absorbing substrates in the interior. mix contact fine well before use. apply contact fine with a brush or roller. under normal circumstances (+20â°c and 60% relative
air humidity), contact fine is dry between 4 - 12 hours. contact fine is hardened out after 2 days. tierrafino duro: application tierrafino duro is available in 8 standard colours that can be mixed amongst each other. mix with tierrafino effects like mother of pearl, straw and sands to create special effects. consult the effects product sheet for the maximum amount that can be added to duro.
mix duro with tierrafino pigment to create other colors. add a maximum 4% of pigment to prevent colour from rubbing off the surface. add 3 - 3,5 kg tierrafino duro to each 1 liter of water. if possible, save some dry material for repairs in the future. mix duro to a homogenous plaster. let stand for 10 minutes and mix again. apply 1 - 2 mm of duro to create a sponged (textured-) finish.
apply 2 mm of duro to create a smooth troweled surface. application of duro onto tierrafino base is almost the same as onto contact fine, however it is advised to add more water to duro since base has a high absorption rate. straighten the surface with a long steel trowel. tierrafino duro: smooth finish wait until the shine of water has dissapeared from the
surface. float the wall with a sponge to erase marks from the trowel. trowel the surface with a steel or plastic trowel to smoothen duro. this will push the larger sand into the plaster and the finer sand and clay to the surface. moisten duro if it has dried too much to easily smoothen. avoid air bubbles due to over troweling. now let duro set and follow the instructions in
"finishing damp duro" or let dry and follow the instructions in "finishing dry duro". tierrafino duro: textured finish after some drying, repeat sponging to create a finer sponged finish. fill the last of the holes with sponging. the instructions in "finishing dry wall". tierrafino duro:finishing humid wall take a sponge and clean water. squeeze out all water.
wipe the surface with the damp sponge when duro is hard, yet still damp. mist spots that have dried and have a lighter colour. the sponge takes a thin film of clay away from the surface and exposes the sand in duro. now brush the surface shortly with a hand held brush: this increases the wipe proof finish of duro. repeat until the sparkle of the sand is visable. in case the sparkle is not yet visable, wait with with brushing.
tierrafino duro:finishing dry wall duro can also be finished when fully dried out. mist approximately 1 m2 lightly humid. wipe the surface with a squeezed out, but damp sponge. surface and exposes the sand. until the sparkle of the sand is visable. let dry. extras apply a coat of tierrafino wax acryl after duro has
