good morning, i just got up, still in my pyjamas, hobbit fan event shirt, i might have shown that, today - apart from streaming on my channel and produce a few videos - i want to declutter my bathroom utensils like deodorant, razor, shampoo etc. and
see if i can get rid of stuff i don't use. so, yeah. you'll be part of that! breakfast is ready and that's it: classic breakfast for me; two by two whole grain bread slices with avocado or another delicious spread, and if i'm in the mood a bit of vegan slices, all organic.
yeah. that's mostly what i have for breakfast, and yeah, i eat a lot. breakfast is done, now on to work! that's all i found in the bathroom. i'll sort it out here because there's stuff from others in there as well. i'll start with this one.
normal contact lense fluit, i mostly buy a stock. those three here. the expensive ones from the optician, are they better, do you know? then i got a smaller one, that's because once when i was in switzerland i forgot to bring one. the advantage is that this is 90 ml and if i'm gone for
a longer period, i could maybe, if i can open that, i could maybe fill that up and, for a few days, take this one. then i wouldn't have to take these, hold on, i get them ... these thingies here. lots of packaging
and i don't like that. it was for my holidays, it was a mistake, it was in the cupboard and i missed it. so i bought these although the other one would have been enough. i'll use it up, it's single dose. two contact lense containers, i used to have four, these are left. one for my lenses, one
for travels. single use lenses i bought when i lost a lense, it's only for my right eye, but yeah. monthly lenses. keeping them of course. first bamboo brush: environmental toothbrush. from australia ... yeah. but i don't know where the plastic comes from in normal
toothbrushes, so is that worse? #cheapexcuse oops. those are from baumfrei. i gotta say, i like the handle, what i don't like as much is up here, there's quite a gap from here to here so i feel like i don't get all the way back there.
why do i always open it on the wrong side? hydrophil now. i always liked that one. it doesn't look like less of a gap than the other one has, but it works better, no idea why. maybe the bristles. the handle is nice because it's round. good grip.
from cleaning and all, this is still one of my favourites. which nylon is better i can't tell you yet. the environmental toothbrush is only wrapped once in cardboard, i like that. looks like this. it's pretty good,
but way too hard for me. i get gum bleeding. and that's medium! they had hard as well, don't want to imagine my gums with hard. i'll pass those on, i have to check who likes hard toothbrushes. apple soap, homemade from
organic olive oil, rape seed oil, sunflower oil, coconut oil, organic rose oil, destilled water, naoh. but that's not rose flavour but apple flavour. yep. soap making i'd like to show when we do that in the family. it's not a huge deal, you need a few ingredients
and some time. there's still hair in that brush, that's ... hold on. alright. my two brushes. don't need more to brush my hair after washing and that's for brushing before washing. now.
ew. i still have two razors. i thought there were no blades for the old one, bought a new one, turned out there were still blades. i want to ditch the plastic one, i still have blades though. one blade. i'll use it up and then it goes to waste. this one remains,
a razor 'for men', got that second hand and the blades are still produced, it's a standard model, they also last longer and you can sharpen them by brushing it against a cloth, that'a a top tip.
speaking of toothbrushes, i got two more, currently in use, one plastic because i still have exchangeable heads for it. they are in a plastic mug i don't need, i just don't have an attachment for the toothbrush in the bathroom i'm currently using. so i use this.
when i move to my tiny house, i want to attach a ring to the sink to hang my toothbrush and i don't need that anymore. i also got toothpaste. i'll use that up and switch to the one i forgot to place here, hold on. i think i showed you in my holidays video.
i bought that on la gomera, i can open that up. smells delicious. this paste here. once the other one's done, i'll use this one. i'd like to solid toothpaste, toothy tabs like in lush. the problem with lush is that it's not natural cosmetics and
they're now in plastic because the carboard they were in were getting damp and the product wasted. so i'll switch to another brand. let's see what i'll find. i have a stock for now. in terms of deodorant, i normally make my own. that was empty and i had some older ones i
had or got from other people. that one's a men's deodorant, don't care, i use it nonetheless. i checked it at codecheck, www.codecheck.de, you can check the ingredients and it didn't contain harmful substances so i'm still using that. and i also got - wouldn't buy it now, it's not organic,
but it's okay - this one. i use it up and switch back to homemade deo. i'll show you the recipe when i make it. those are older toothbrushes which are done with teeth, i use them for cleaning. you'd actually only need one, it lasts forever, but i kept them all, also
because when i put them to recycling, i'd like to cut them here because this contains nylon so that's not compostable, while that's wood and i could even throw that in the stove. i didn't do it yet so they are still there. also, two brushes. both are second hand, one from
a household clearance, never used, and one from a second hand shop. they ... i like them because they're wooden but i didn't use them often, one's for hands, one is losing bristles all the time, don't know if i'll keep it, it's a 'maybe'. also from the household clearance i got
a whole bag of cotton pads, unused, i don't use them because i don't wear make-up and i also got these, washable at 60 â°c, a friend made them, hope i remember her shop to link it here. so i don't need cotton pads. i'll probably
give them away. in here is my menstrual cup, only need one. great product, i'd like to do a video on this, what pros there are and why it makes sense to switch. so you don't find any tampons etc. in my bathroom, i just don't need it. in here i had a few things, wooden bowl,
handmade on the philippnies, 50 ct in the thrift store. it was so cheap because there's a little stain. it's got a beautiful shape. i want to keep it in the bathroom to store brushes etc. not as beautiful but functional: a thermometer. one pair of scissors, one
device for rinsing your nose, it's super handy, a surprising number of hair clips. i got them at a show. they were left and i could take two packs. i use them for more elaborate hair styles but not as many so i have to figure out what to do with these and how many to keep, so they're all 'maybes'. just like this one,
products i got for free at shows i did. nice, you can do a lot with it, but it's not natural cosmetics and contains substances i don't want to bring to my hair. my hair as hair model is often treated with stuff i don't like. i still have to see how to handle
that in the coming years. so i don't use these anymore, so those will go. one pair of gloves. actually, they don't match. they are different exemplars. moving on to nail care, i have an universal clipper with universal
file. here. not exciting but does what it- what it should. also, i got this one, but i don't need it because i never do it with this thing. so that can go. and then i got two tweezers, one working, one not working,
i only need one, and that can go. another file, i'll keep that because the one on the clipper isn't very good. the case here i don't need either so it can go. no, actually, i could put the things in there. it doesn't close now but
it's okay. tooth care: here's dental floss i never use. shame on me, i don't use floss, i'm still alive. the problem is, maybe you're familiar with it, if i put floss between my teeth, it will get stuck because the spaces are so tight. i end up having more fiber between my teeth than before. hm. a box.
for shampoo bars or smiliar things. got that from lush when i shopped shampoo bars. the bar is gone but i kept the box and it still smells. still. smells. lush certainly contributed to me trying stuff like shampoo bars but their stuff contains
chemicals that aren't quite biocompatible. they are cruelty free but the ingredients are not okay. and it's a bit too much. when i'm in that shop i feel like suffocating. hairsoap no. 1 is a sole soap, lemon. eight percent superfatting, which might be the problem. it means that there's more fat than
what's removed while washing so you get fat back by using it. now, especially with shampoo bars, you need moisture but not fat, there's a fine line with superfatting and this soap didn't hit it because when i used it they felt like covered in butter. that wasn't nice. next,
a nice but washout out pattern, bought at unverpackt, an organic shampoo bar, too dry for me, my hair was almost un-combable. brought it to holidays but my hair started getting dandruff, so that's not the one for me. moving on to the best shampoo bar of the universe. this, again, from maybeez, the
spanish company i mentioned in my holiday video. looks like this, a lot more clunky, i'd say, smells heavenly, it lathers up great if you add water and do it like this between your hands. my hair is combable again and
it get moisture back so that's very good and i'll use it up. unfortunately it's a bit big for this box, also i don't recommend keeping it in a box that is closed; if there's still water on it, it'll be in a water-bath and that will dissolve it slowly. my method was
to keep it in a washcloth. after the shower i put it there and when it's dry, flop, goes in there. and the rest of the water is soaked up, it lasts longer. thumbs up. also from maybeez a hairmask, organic, it's fatty so you use it before washing,
let it soak for thirty minutes, then wash the hair. you really need to wash it thoroughly and don't apply too much, certain oils are harder to get out of your hair. else your hair is still greasy after the wash. it's meant to soothe your hair, worked well for me and smells delicious. and looks like this.
that escalated in terms of video length. but well. what i also got here because, as i said, i had a shampoo bar i wasn't happy with, i switched back to normal shampoo, a shampoo that works really well for me, organic and vegan. i normally don't use many products but a rinse as long as my hair is like this
might be good. if i run out of my shampoo bar i'll use this up and get new bars afterwards. i got this as a gift and use it up slowly, body milk, natural cosmetics, don't know if it's vegan. on top of the razors i have i have an electric razor and epilator, this is the razor head, you can
remove that. here's the epilator, i don't use the razor head. it's for the legs, for everything else it's a bit too painful. for storage i got these two, bought long ago at ikea, waterproof shell. so, plastic. hem. or at least impregnated heavily.
most of the stuff is in there. like i said, i don't live here alone so i use it to separate my stuff. the benefit is that it's already packed when i take it with me. so that's all that's left. i showed you all of that already. the bristle i kept, up there in the middle. apart from that, almost all 'maybes'
are gone. that's all that's left. to make it complete, i'll show you what i don't keep in the bathroom but belongs there. and here's the stuff i get rid of. hair products and a few clips, i'll keep four of them. a few toothbrushes etc.
i'm pretty happy. i could address make-up in a new video but i want to show you what i got. that's all i still got. hair ties, at least half of which are taken off the street and washed before using. a bun i can't use now because my hair is too short but
i want to keep it when my hair is longer. in here are are bobby pins and here are the clips i showed you earlier. those are for bigger strands. and ghassoul i currently don't use but would like to use in the future. that's it for today with decluttering, hope you
liked it, it was way more random than planned. hope there were a few interesting bits. do leave a comment what you'd like to see in the future in this regard, what i could tell you more about. there were certainly a few topics that could be whole videos. but that's for the future. i hope you have a great day, see you next time! ciao!
