all those who love sweets, shouldn't watch this video. today, we create an unbelievable coulorful delicious candy machine that will change your life because it makes you become fat. you can avoid that as you create this machine as a present for somebody. warning: it is much more difficult and time-consuming to create the machine than it looks in the video. but it's worth it. tell us, which of those sweets you like best. write it in the comments below. if you like candy as we do, click on the sweet like button. you need stable cardboard for your candy machine. we got it from a supermarket. there's plenty of it. we use a cutting board as underlay to take care of the table. let's begin!
first, we create a u-shape. we had quite a big piece of cardboard so it was easy to cut a u-shape you could also stick the sides to it if it wouldn't work. cut four elements in the same size. mark to points for the cut. you can use the first element as a template for the others and you don't have to mark it. glue the first board the u-shape. it works best if you use a hot-glue gun. you just have to fix the board at the edges. attach the whole element after it hardened. don't save any glue because it is a carrying element. you can remove surplus glue with your finger as it is warm. pay attention. you could burn your finger if it's still too hot. add the second board right next to it. work quickly. you have to apply the glue and the board before it hardens.
that's because you wouldn't reach the spot. you can easily remove the surplus glue. just the front panel is missing and we're done with the easy part. you can already recognize what it should be. looks tasty! the following part is quite tiring. it cost a lot of time and energy. use a new board and mark three spots. cut out three stripes in the same size and glue it on the marking. cut off the edge if it overlaps. you need four rectangular pieces of cardboard that fit between the stripes. there should be enough tolerance so they move well.
lay the last piece of cardboard below the one with the stripes and one template over it. better use a rectangular, bigger template than we did. you'll see later why that's better. cut the shapes out. four times for every piece of cardboard. pay attention that they don't get out of place. otherwise no sweets would come out. that would be a shame. lay the small boards in the shelves. flip it over and mark it. use the same template to cut a hole. you did everyting correct if it looks like in the video. you don't need the overlapping cardboard anymore. we use some colourful popsicle sticks to decorate it. use instant glue to fix it. this creates more space and improves the slippage. do the same with the four smaller boards. there should be enough space to the others.
add another layer of sticks to get more tolerance. write numbers on the shelves so you don't mix them up. then add a spit that acts as a button. add a stick in order to make it more stable. i was working for five hours! five hours just for you. and for me. especially for me. glue the front part to it and make some holes with the spits. they should be very accurate. otherwise, that could cause problems later. and who likes problems. if you have finished, glue it into the other part. use a glass as an orientation for the height. we bought expensive pens for one euro because we need the springs for the buttons.
unfortunately, they were too small for our project. so we bought other pens. at least we have a christmas present for mia and antonio. the springs go over the spit. and it seems to work. draw circles for the buttons with a coin. attach them with some hot glue. check if everything works properly. it is almost impossible to make a correction after you have fixed the last piece of cardboard. you can create separate compartements for the sweets with rectangular shapes of cardboard. the first attempt works. but it's not perfect. some things are still missing. let's care about the transparent front. we use plexiglas out of a picture frame. we take one that we don't use anymore. you can cut it easily with a simple trick. take a knife and heat it up.
pay attention that you don't use too much force. plexiglas breaks easily. fix it with hot glue. exactly like the dividing walls. a cover mustn't be missing. we built a funnel that all candy falls through the hole. additionally, we made larger holes. they were too small to get the candy through. make them a bit bigger from the beginning. did you go for candy? we did. post a bonbon in the comments below if you're still watching. here, you can watch another video. have fun while watching and commentating!
