why am i holding this box when talking about my bank account? activate those babies now! this box weighs 5,5 kg - good job mum:) i've been a student for quite a while now and as you can probably already tell ain't got much money as a student. i checked my bank account this morning... let's just not talk about this right now okay? here i am, living in my tiny but cute apartment but totally overpriced... and to top it off: christmas is right around the corner. i love christmas. i love christmas decorations. i love christmas gifts. but doing all of that is not all that easy when you don't have much money on your hands.
and the last two years while living as an au pair in the us i was used to seeing people run to target and buying a buttload of decorations to get everything ready for christmas everything got decorated. literally. everything. some may call that exaggeration. i call it perfection. i. loved. it. but, i won't be able to pull it off this year, cause i simply don't have the budget for that so yeah... it's time for: christmas on a budget. what better way to accomplish that than getting christmassy mail from your loved ones back home. well let's see how i can give my place a more christmassy atmosphere. less talking, more box opening.

freaking 2 euros!!! don't mind the mess in my room but i want to show you what that thingy on my door is. so whenever someone comes by they get to write a little something on the paperbanner on my door. but today we'll turn this into something a little bit different... my room has a freaking glass door. didn't love that when i moved in so i decided to go for this banners. now with christmas right around the corner i decided to switch it up a bit and add a new one. i took me forever to make it but it sure is a cheap-ass addition to my christmas decorations!!! i really wanted want of those christmastrees!!! (even if it's only a fake and lame looking one) but it just seemed to be a waste of money so i accidentally stole this one from my roommate. whops.
can you already guess how this night ended? well... chia latte, christmas candy and a good old christmas movie. btw. what's your favorite christmas movie?? tell me!!! so it actually worked: i stole a tree, was sent a calendar, made a cheap banner and spent 2 euros on a pillow case!!! christmas on a budget - it does work!
